My name is Mathilda Weston, Tilly for short, and I am the owner of Pink Tilly Makes which is a creative business based in Llanfyllin, Mid Wales.

I sell a variety of drawings, paintings, and hand-made books. I offer a commission service too – from resin pickaxes, wooden furniture, and pieces of art, I put my Jack-of-all skills to use to bring your ideas to life!

I chose to start Pink Tilly Makes because of my skill and passion for art, and my desire to offer my work to clients. This venture allows me to express my creativity and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.

A bit about me and my art:

I am Mathilda Weston (Tilly), a multi-media artist graduated from Carmarthen School of Art. My art practice explores people, behaviour and function through a variety of media including wood, metal, paint, and found objects. I have a background in creating theatre sets and incorporate this into the installation aspects, creating a space with the potential for narrative.

Photographed below is a selection of pages from Books and an installation piece I made about Comfort objects, talking with people to create books about what brings them comfort. The Installation itself is called Come Ye and Rest Awhile and was created using borrowed, gifted,  and found objects that each represented, or are, an item that brings a person comfort.

Bronze Bobbin Mill has toured with an exhibition called Cydweithio/Collaborate, where artists and poets paired up to create the exhibits. Our exhibit was about the bobbin mills in the lake district and the people and our heritage in them.

Stemming from that project I was approached to work with another poet creating Aelonwy (same name as the poem) about a Naiad called Aelonwy.

I am a hardworking and organised creative practitioner, art professional and joinery graduate.

I am constantly creative with a strong eye for detail and incredibly high-quality standards in my work.

I am looking to pursue my passion for fine carpentry, art, and design so that I may become a famous artist.

PinkTillyMakes is a bespoke art, bookbinding and restoration service.  I create and design anything from a card to a beautiful painting of your choice, I also provide a unique book binding and furniture making or restoration service. My customers are individuals seeking unique, meaningful pieces that can’t be found anywhere else, unlike mass-produced designs, my work is entirely bespoke. I ensure that each painting or commission is made with love.
